Top Lawyers 2021

Ellis Law is proud to announce that its lawyers were all recently named to the Monmouth Health & Life Magazine’s Top Lawyers for 2021 list. The magazine uses a Colorado-based research firm to oversee an online peer-vote process and create the top lawyer list. Lawyers select their colleagues within their practice areas who they believed were the best. The magazine would disqualify those whose registration could not be verified and those who were disciplined by the State of New Jersey regulatory board.

Herbert I. Ellis, managing attorney and founder of Ellis Law, was named to the list for his work in criminal non-white collar crimes. He has numerous other practice areas, including personal injury, car accidents, wrongful death cases, and medical malpractice. He earned his Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and the U.S. District Court District of New Jersey. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey Association for Justice, the Monmouth Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of New York, the Kings County Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association, among others.

Jonathan A. Ellis, a junior partner at Ellis Law, was named to the list for the practice areas of real estate and personal injury. His other practice areas include criminal expungement and contractual matters. He earned his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law and is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Washington, D.C., the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He is a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association, the Haydn Proctor Inns of Court, the New Jersey Association for Justice, the New Jersey Bar Association, and the New York Bar Association.

Amy Buchansky-Francesco, a veteran of Ellis Law, was named to the Top Lawyers list by her peers in the practice areas of real estate, trust and estate, and wills. She earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School and is admitted to the bar in New York and New Jersey. Her other practice area includes personal injury. She is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the Richmond County Bar Association, the Monmouth County Bar Association, and the New Jersey Association of Justice.
