Teen Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Sayreville

A 15-year old was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning while walking on Route 35 in Sayreville, police report.

Police responded to a call at the area of Route 35 North near South Pine Avenue at 3:44 a.m. and found the teen dead. The 15-year old’s identity has been withheld by the Sayreville Police Department.

A Honda Accord that was believed to be involved, police said, but have given no description of the car as of yet. Those who may have witnessed the crash are asked to contact Sayreville Police Officer Tom Calise at 732-727-4444 or Prosecutor’s Detective Jonathan Berman at 732-745-4328.
