A man was hit and killed by an NJ Transit train in Elizabeth on Thursday night.
The man, who was hit at 10:30 p.m., was just east of the North Elizabeth Station by the North Jersey Coast Line train, #3824. His identity was not released, pending family notification.
First, service was suspended on both the North Jersey Coast line and the Northeast Corridor lines, then it resumed with 60-minute delays. Trains were running on or close to on schedule on Friday.
