After a driver ran a red light and hit him at an intersection in Tampa, New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso’s car flipped three times. Miraculously, he survived the incident on Sunday.
Alonso was traveling to spring training in Port St. Lucie, Florida. His wife, Haley, was driving behind him in a separate car and immediately called for emergency services. Alonso got out of the vehicle by kicking out the windshield.
Alonso came out of the incident uninjured.
