Three NJ Cops Struck by Motorcyclists While Investigating Crash
Three New Jersey police officers were hospitalized after they were hit by motorcyclists speeding through the scene of an earlier car crash on Wednesday night, officials said.
The Union City police officers were investigating the scene where a 16-year-old was fatally struck by a garbage truck at 7:30 p.m. when they were hit by two passing motorcyclists near intersection of Palisades Avenue and 31st Street less than two hours later, officials told NBC.
One officer was transported to the Hackensack University Medical Center in critical condition.
The other two cops were taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where a motorcyclist, who slid under a dump truck, was also being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
